I didn't watch the chimperor* last night someone give me the highlights |
|
All I can gather is the chimp wants to return to the great society and that kkkarl is going to be given a blank check worth 200 billion to make it happen.

4. Bush also informed America |

that poverty exists and that it is possible we haven't fully prepared for disasters or terrorist attacks, and somebody is going to look into that.
And he had the usual conservative cures for what ails you. Tax breaks, enterprise zones, government giveaways of assets, deregulation of everything.

6. Bush's mouth wrote a lot of checks that Congress probably won't cash |
|
Twenty-five minutes of can-do platitudes, big idea thinking, and not one syllable about how he plans to pay for it all since the Treasury just has IOUs to China in it.

with a huge price tag. I can only hope this works for the sake of the poor people affected but I see his $200 billion project as an open ended tunnel thru which great amounts of money will flow to his buddies.

I noticed tax breaks for corporations with rebuilding contracts. Good for Halliburton. This should be a Halliburton free zone.

12. About the only guarantee |
|
is that Halliburton will make a shitload of money on the backs of poor people. Exploit the workers, disable environmental laws, make your friends richer. That's what I've gotten out of it. If this enterprise actually succeeds, they'll move on to "rebuilding" another city and eventually there will be no worker or environmental protections left anywhere.
