Rush Limbaugh and Roy Black: Question..
I find it odd that Rush Limbaugh hired as his defense attorney on drug charges, Florida attorney Roy Black. It's a great choice. Black is a great attorney.

But, this is the same Roy Black that (GASP!!) defended a Kennedy (William Kennedy Smith) in 1991 on rape charges! Even I was surprised by the acquittal.

Given that Rush’s despicable radio show had its debut in August 1988, surely he must have made (endless) mention of the trial, and how typical it was of any Kennedy. I’m sure he went off on William, and of course Ted Kennedy, as well as John F. and Robert F. as typical murder/rapist Kennedy’s. He would, without a doubt, have attacked the damn liberal shill lawyers that defend them – in particular - William Kennedy Smith’s attorney, Roy Black. (Does anyone recall if he said anything like this?) The irony is delicious.

If a conservative is a liberal who's been mugged, then a liberal is a conservative who's been arrested. So…I guess that Rush is a liberal?

“Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. …A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. So then, you will know them by their fruits.” (Matthew 7:15-18, 20)

5. First Of All
Every defendant is entitled to a lawyer, due process, and trial by jury....

Nothing more.... Nothing less....

I listened to Rush during the W K Smith trial... He was his usual obnoxious self but never spoke to Kennedy-Smith's innocence or guilt.....But he did lambaste Ted who was a key player in the trial....Ted was the one who took WK Smith and Patrick Kennedy to the infamous Au Bar where Kennedy Smith met Patty Bowman....

Any way, that's where Pigboy got the stupid song about Ted Kennedy... Sung to the tune of The Wanderer it had lyrics like

My car goes round and round and round ( a not too veiled reference to Chappaquidick)

I doubt Rush will be incarcerated but I doubt if his "dignity" will be intact after all this...

3. I believe that in the flood of Flush posts
someone may have quoted something from the Cyst like '(WK Smith) must be guilty; you can tell because he hired Roy Black (to get him off)', something like that.

Many Pigboy quotes to hang him by at atrios.blogspot.com over the last few days.

6. As a lawyer, **I** wouldn't take Pigboy's case
Not for all the money left on Limpballs' contract (well, maybe for that much ...).

People are fond of saying that every criminal defendant is entitiled to a lawyer. And that is true. But they're not entitled to have ME represent them, or Roy Black, or Johnnie Cochran.

I'll bet Cochran would've turned him down flat. Having said that, Roy Black is an excellent lawyer, and he may well get Pigboy off or perhaps plea-bargain it down to some vapid sort of community service which Pigboy will equate with his radio show (which provides SUCH a valuable service to the nation, of course ... :puke:). And I don't fault Black for taking the case, that's his business. A lot of criminal defense lawyers represent scumbags.

I will say this: I'd almost consider taking the case just to get to conduct the jury voir dire!

Bake, Esq.
