I just had a disgusting thought...
It actually makes sense, albeit in a twisted fashion, to put Rove in charge of the post-Katrina reconstruction effort. Don't fly into a rage just yet, let me explain.

My utter disdain for his politics and tactics aside, I must admit that the man is absolutely brilliant. If, and this is a pretty big if given the nature of his character, he were to make a sincere effort at using his abilities responsibly, to genuinely HELP people...

Nah. On second thought he probably looks at it as an opportunity to make himself and his friends rich, and screw everyone in the South in the process. Jesus, what the hell was I thinking?

3. I'm still anxiously awaiting indictments
from Fitzgerald. Considering the general consensus toward the Bush administration, I suspect that would end any hint of credibility he maintains.

2. The only reason they did this is because when Fitzy shows up...

...with his indictment of KKKArl, they can all make cow eyes at him and say, "But Mr. Fitzgerald, how can you take away Mr. Rove?! He's helping all these poor people in New Orleans! Have you no heart, man?"

You wait, the talking points are already printed that will disparage Fitzgerald and his "callous disregard for interfering with the clean-up and rebuilding of New Orleans during this time of a national disaster".

4. "...genuinely help people..."???? Bwahahaha!!!
We're talking about KKKarl Rove here. The only people he's going to help are the fat cat crony contractors who will rake in a pile of dough on the backs of the laborers earning less than the prevailing wage.

6. Rove is no genius. He's clever in one way:

He knows how to exploit hate and fear.

Most people would never think of the tricks Rove pulls- but not because Rove is particularly bright. They wouldn't think of these things because Rove's tricks are so far beneath the average person as to be out of sight. These things are right at Karl Rove's eye level, because he's a snake.

His agenda is clear enough, for those that can see through the paper thin facade of this shape-shifter

9. Is this a joke?
Rove? That`s like suggesting a pedophile be put in charge of the Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

11. Rove is NOT a "genius"! He simply has no ethics or conscience.
Being unencumbered by any sort of moral sense makes it pretty easy to do whatever one conceives of as furthering your goals. He has no ethical compass therefore he makes use of a much wider range of sleaziness than most normal people would ever consider.

That does not make him a genius, it just makes him extraordinarily ruthless.

And yes, that was a truly disgusting thought you had. :spank:
