What happens if Arnold wins?
Is there a plan to oust him if he gets "elected"?

I heard somewhere (I forgot where, sorry) that there was a recall planned against Arnold were he to get "elected".

So what happens in the Republic of California?

1. First,
Edited on Mon Oct-06-03 02:59 PM by fiziwig
the recall petitions will be circulated the following day.

Second, the Calif. economy will tank even worse discrediting Ahhnold and all his Rebug buddies.

Third, 3% of the California voters will finally realize that issues matter in an election. (The other 97% still won't get it.)

(edited for abysmal spelling)

2. How does the economy tank?
Does Schwarzie have any issues that would cause an economic disaster?

Sorry, but all I hear about the Terminator is how "we aint gonna take it" and all that propaganda bullcrap on inside politics.

16. It WOULD be stupid to throw their money away
They aren't going to take the fall for Arnold, of all people. It's not worth it to them.

5. Within one year, the Recall Law will be terminated
Busheviks have little shame and little caring whether or not they are hypocrites.

6. That is not the right question...What happens if he loses?
1. David Drier re-election will be on the line, with our help.
2. Maria will be kicked out of her job, with our help.
3. Ahnnol's movie career will suffer, with our help. Many women will not want to work with him. He'll probably have to go back to Austria to make movies, like Roman Palanski after he raped some woman back in the 60's. Ahnnold forever will be known as the groper and the repigs will never use him again in public.
4. Littleman Bushie will not make a quick visit to California knowing that Karl Rove's tricks did not work. Bushie will realized that California is not in his pocket for 2004.
5. Democrats will be wide-awake for 2004.

7. He'll probably de-fund UC schools
and I'll never earn my Ph.D. I'll have to move to some terrible place where they will let people who only have M.A.s teach composition classes with about 50 students. It will be in one of those states in the middle of nowhere, a "right to work" state, where discussions of gender, sexuality, and race are verboten. I will grow old and miserable, drinking cheap vodka to numb my pain.

9. Well, for Republicans it cancels out the Clinton attack
Arnold epitomizes the fascist bargain with the devil: powerful land and business interests sacrifice their conservative ideology and ethical respectablity out of need for a popular demagogue who appeals directly to the masses. But I know Hitler, and Arnold is no Hitler. If Arnold wins, his troubles will only be beginning.

13. I fear a huge huge mess if Arnold "wins"
i.e. the vote will be challenged.

There will be lawsuits against Arnold for the sexual assault.

He will be in legal trouble and won't be able to assume the job of governator.

And it will be a HUGE HUGE mess, much bigger than anything we have now.

In short it will be just horrible. AND it will be the biggest news story, every day, for a year or more to come.

A huge distraction from the real issues and from election 04

15. He will fail and take the party with him
CA's economy is a mess, and of all people, body builder boy is not going to do a good job. He could blame Davis for 3 years, but it didn't work for Bush blaming Clinton, and it's sure not going to work with the Gropinator.

Rebpulicans will no longer be able to use the phony "holier than thou" edge - bumper stickers saying "Groping is not a family value" will pop up everywhere.

They can't bash Clinton without us bashing Arnold. So that will finally quiet down after 10 years.

Attention will go back to the Democratic primary, and our candidates will get air time again.

18. Well I do not know, the state is still broke.
Can he print money? Bush will move into helping out the state so He can take it in 2004? The men behind the screen will rule and tell him what to do.Congress will let them have the 87B to rebuild!
