We're going to win this recall power grab
I just watched all the media sycophants trying to spin this and they are scared. The Dems are going to win and the right wing junta will lose.

1. God I hope you're right
but even if we win...we still will have lost. The Cali Dems have spent countless $$$, time and energy fighting for their lives on this one.

Republicans have to be stopped, plain and simple.

3. Cally . . .
I hope you're right!! It's time the tide turned!

I think they're going to have lots of problems counting the votes and I'll betcha the right-wingers move in just like they did in Florida.

We shall see. And soon!

5. hmm...unless the voting machines are rigged
Edited on Mon Oct-06-03 04:17 PM by protect freedom impe
dont have any faith in how the votes are counted.

no paper trail.
run by secret code
machines built & run run by rt-wing Repugs

I'm sorry.
BUT, ONLY by a landslide can a Democrat ever win again in USA.

the Octopus controls all.

the PNAC controls the voting machines with secret code.

15. This will be a good test
If the recall loses NARROWLY we'll know they don't have the program up to speed yet. Remember if the two had been coordinated we wouldn't have had a recall until all counties went touchscreen; that hasn;t happened yet.

Our overnight polls show the No and yes votes DEAD EVEN and a slight edge in momentume going to NO.

6. I agree!
But I am doubtful enough to be scared, nonetheless. The memories of November 2002 are too recent and too raw.

:scared:

God knows my vote here in Texas hasn't been worth anything since I moved here. I want to vote again where my vote counts! :grr:

13. November 2002
The GOP/Bushies took over full control of the government by winning back the Senate and retaining the House. Defeating wonderful Senators like Max Cleland and Walter Mondale and sullying the memory of Paul Wellstone in the process.

A dark day in American history.

:-(

10. I think so--notice the pre-spin:
Here are some stories the whore media is putting out now:

It might not really be a good thing for President Bush if Arnold wins. (sour grapes)

The voting machines have no paper trail (shock shock!!!) and there might be a problem with the vote. (shift the blame)

It will take a long time for the winner to be certified so it would take a long time for the winner to actually become governor. (utter desperation sour grapes)

14. You're right, of course
Did you notice the media (ugh) had Arnold easily winning in the polls; then as the time drew near, they've got him even. Actually I believe Arnie is going to give a dismal performance. (I think Davis will remain).

I haven't seen much that has been democratic or just in the last three years, forgive me if my confidence in the system is a little shaken.

You've fallen into their trap of 'inevitability'. Classic Karl Rove propaganda. It is spin, pure and simple.

24. However California goes ~ So goes the Nation
I hope you are right and I do believe you are. I believed we would gain seats in congress in 2002 also, so I don't trust my instincts anymore. I just find it very difficult to believe Californians to be so ignorant.
