D.C. Rally Picture Thread

Hi all,

Here are a number of pictures which have been sent to my by fellow DUer KansasBlue. I'll be updating this thread as more come in and there should be quite a few coming in tomorrow. This is what I've got so far. Enjoy.

20. As I've got lots of experience building stages (not compared to some of

my buddies, but exponentially more than the guy on the street) I am kind of shocked to see a stage. I didn't think this thing was going to be that organized. But I'm glad to see it.

Not a big stage. Not if the massive crowd I'm thinking will show up...actually show's up. That is a stage for a smaller crowd. Of course a stadium stage would've been WAY to expensive. But the DAYS that it would've taken to build, and the MASSIVE size of one, and the cranes, and riggers....BOY that would've sent an ominous message. With huge screens on the wings for everyone in the back. A PA that hangs like the monolith in 2001. A lightening rig that produces so much heat, MC's and bands have to wear sunblock. FUCKIN' PYRO! LIKE THE PSEUDO TRACER ROUNDS THAT SHOOT OFF OVER THE CROWD AT A METALLICA SHOW!

Want to see a politician get nervous? Acquire a massive angry crowd on the steps of DC. Then throw in explosions.

"Mr. *. Do you see the size of that thing?! THEY ARE LAUNCHING ROUNDS AT US! We are TOTALLY fucked!"

Ok. I'll turn down my warped little world a bit so as not to sound like a kook? ;)

14. Where is this?

My sweetie and I are in town for the rally, walked all around today, but somehow missed the large stage. Although today was sightseeing day for me, so maybe I just wasn't looking in the right place. So do you know where the stage is?
