How about that wild eyed bastard whipping around "I won't get in the way"
He looked like a god damned possessed maniac. Gregory had him where he wanted him, back turned from the camera, you could practically see the sparks shooting up his spine before he turned around. What a fucking piece of work that guy is.

1. I thought it was
the moment we see him blow and he did but he managed to control it better than I thought he would. It was pretty stunning though. If looks could kill...

3. Would this question do it?
"Mr. President, I'd like to give you a chance to deny those tabloid rumors that you're drinking again."

I live
for a question like that. I think he seems awfully close to blowing but he gets some really good drugs apparently.

10. Lithium, perhaps? I flew a plane (& did other work) for a guy who was
seriously ...hell, I don't know, I just thought 'goofy' but took LI tabs to keep him semi-level. It didn't always work so well, one day he gave a new Ford to a waitress as a tip. I really ought to write a book about those days. ;-)

12. No clue but can you imagine
what it takes to balance the guy out? Now THAT would be a job.

Lol, write that book, it sounds very interesting!

2. I saw that too and had the same reaction.
He is especially dangerous now. He's going back to his "photo op" strategy exclusively. That's all he has. Whatever happens in terms of Federal response is determined already by the team he's allowed to ruin FEMA and, on a more random basis, by the uncontrollable events of nature. He's scared shitless. Poppy can't go talk to GAIA and smooth things over. There's no life after being designated the very worst, by a long shot, President of the USA ever in living or historical memory, without exception. Thanks for nothing Republicans.

He kept right after him without whimpering away. Way to go.

5. David Gregory was great at the impromptu press conference, but
if you watched him later on NBC/MSNBC he defended Bush. So I'm a little confused. Is he going for the jugular or not? I'd welcome other opinions.

8. I guess it's called "fair & balanced"
Hell, as long as Gregory is willing to ask questions like that, I don't care if he tries to give the chimp the benefit of the doubt once and a while.

11. Gregory might be the only one in the whole media that

might actually be able to do it, so far he is singular in that regard.
I hope that they don't try to stop him.

13. Are we seeing the new "Dan Rather" for their generation?
Remember, Dan hammered Nixon this way too. He might be placing a bet on his own future too. If he can stand out and do a great job hammering their lies, he could be well on his way to the news directors position. That would be good for us. He would ask no less of any other reporter under him, I think.

7. Got that right
After the brat whirled with his "One thing I won't do is get in the way", Gregory immediately smacked him with "What good can you actually do?"

23. He cannot hide his fury. Very difficult for a sociopath.
The one thing they cannot stand is to be backed into a corner. I predicted a year ago , that he would totally lose it in public some day. Can't wait to see it.

I cannot believe this man is the President of the United States of America. What a sordid state of affairs.

Bush is acknowledging his own incompetence? I mean, I know it was spurred by David Gregory's question, but that's just hilarious.

24. Well, he was right...he DIDN'T get in the way.
I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when the Texas officials said, "No, Mr. President. Don't come here. You're going to fuck us all up."
