My parents watch fox news exclusively. They didn't know the levees breached
They were both shocked to hear it and didn't believe me. Has Fox news reported on the NO levee system at all? Anyone know?

3. Tell them to watch the Weather Channel
They showed the levees being overtopped yesterday. And that way your parents won't be "tainted" by the "leftwingers" at CNN and MSNBC </sarcasm>

13. The Weather Channel is part of the librul, elitist media.
It's run by a bunch of lefties with a radical environmentalist and anti-Bush agenda. Didn't you know that?:sarcasm:

4. Don't know, but FOX's news seems shoddy at best, was watching
yesterday for a while, just trying to hear what was happening with the hurricane--and I'd see CNN report winds about 90mph, and turn to FOX to hear the same place had 75mph winds.

They seemed to lag behind in information and in quality of information all around.

But as to the levees breaching, I didn't hear anything on FOX about it either when I was watching (which admittedly wasn't a lot).

control of the Hurricane Rita crisis, I'll bet.

7. Tell them to "Snap out of it!"
FOX is the least trustworthy of all networks. They consistently lie. What your parents experienced should be eye-opening to them.

10. Just your average Americans who don't want to know of any bad news
Even if there is bad news most Americans would appreciate it very much if you didn't tell them about it. It tends to disturb their beautiful minds.

And thats the truth.

9. Faux has been quite successful in turning the biggest beneficiaries
Of New Deal Policies into steadfast opponents of the same. People who have done so well under enlightened social policies wish to deny that opportunity to their children.

It is just so hard for me to understand.

18. I agree
I personally know a family that survives on FDR and LBJ programs who support Bush/Cheney because of their religion. It is even more ironic that Cheney's daughter is openly gay.

14. you should reiterate, fox does not keep you informed
your parents should be outraged this news wasn't given to them. what else is not being told to them. a lot. give some example. people making decisions uninformed. and it is pissing off the other half of the people in this nation, and worldwide.

ask them if they have hear
about worker being shot and killed on a bridge during repair in no
have they heard about two british soldiers dressing as arabs
killing Basra cops
broken out of jail

this isnt about convincing them of the stories. they are illistration for parents how fox does not give them the information they need to be informed citizens and responsible voters. adn they, your parents taught you it was important to be informed

15. Anyone who watches Faux "News" is an uninformed fool.
Period.

That "channel" must be destroyed at all costs.

can make some money and get them to change their viewing habits at the same time :)
