Rita - this week's missing blond cheerleader
:wtf: is wrong with M$M, don't they realize that there may be something else going on in the world? Even F**cking C-Span, followed the lame speeches with *'s "radio address". 300 K plus in DC & nothing. :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

1. Rita may not be as deadly as Katrina, but it's still a major storm
and several million people are currently feeling its effects. Not exactly a blonde cheerleader.

3. A Hurricane is not a "distraction" like another missing blond girl.

It's a legitimate story impacting millions of people.

Yes, I wanted more coverage (*make that ANY*) of the march and the rally...but even the Corporate Media has to pay attention to something as big as Rita.

5. Yeah, but they keep playing the same stuff over & over
My wife has finally just located the last of her family from NO so I understand their concern. However Rita is not the only thing happening. That's my point, all Rita 24/7, nothing else.

6. Yup...because 24/7 news isn't meant to be watched relentlessly...
Edited on Sat Sep-24-05 04:08 PM by mcscajun
...it repeats and repeats so that no matter when you turn in, you get the news.

If you listen to 20 minutes of 1010WINS radio in the NYC area, you've heard all the news they've got (for right now). You're done. CNN and the other 24/7 cable news outlets work pretty much the same way.

Not good..just what is.
