Wondering if Rita is Another Bush Flop? (No bang for buck)
While there, of course, is a lot of devastation in the areas hit by Rita, it just didn't pan out like Georgie would have wanted it. This was no super, spectacular, explosive, razzle dazzle sight like the utter devastation (nuke style) of New Orleans. It didn't have any of the drama and fright and horror of what the cameras showed us for days of NO as we stood in shock at the realization that this regime and this fascist clown did not care...just did not care. BUT, while Rita shows Bush "caring" all over the place for Republican Texas and a mass of white people, it's showing New Orleans getting killed again with flooding. It again looks like he left the city to drown. Let's make sure people see that. In fact in a few days, there not going to focus on Rita anymore because it isn't gleaning that amount of interest nationwide. But, they will be having to focus back on New Orleans and the same massive mess. Dem leaders need to make sure that the public keeps NO right in front of their faces.

1. All this going on...

...really makes me wonder how Americans will process these events. It is going to take some time for the consequences of all this to play out.

3. If you think about it
success is boring....doesn't make for good television....

no devastation? boooooooooooorinnnnnnng
no people clinging to rooftops? boooooooorrrinnnnnnnng.
everybody evacuated safely? booooooorrrrrrinnnnnnggggggg.

TV won't cover it so Dubya can't jump in and claim credit.....

bad thinking KKKarl....should have hired some TV producers who would have told you that.

4. we need to keep the Houston evacuation out there too.
Isn't DHS supposed to be able to respond to a big terra attack with evacuation and medical relief. They never even created a plan. Just told everyone to get out.

5. And he used Rita as an excuse to duck the anti war marchers
That message will be made clear, by us, in the days ahead.

6. Just wanted to add something: Gas
It's going to be real interesting if we are hit with high gas prices again because of this "horrible, terrible" disaster. If we saw sights like Katrina, the people might buy it. BUT, if they see as much as I saw on tv (and I've seen bad storms--both rain and ice storms)do that much damage, then the people are really going to be rioting that Bush and all these scumbags are gouging us. And you know what?---that would be the perfect time to start yelling "hey, morons, did you know that that's why we are in Iraq, too and that his disruption of the ME for nothing is what started this ball rolling." God, there is such an opportunity here to get people totally fed up with him.

9. He's jinxed.
It's incredible. If he does nothing, there is a disaster. If he does something, nothing happens and his efforts are a huge waste. He just can't do anything right. He has no sense of proportion, of what is needed, of what is appropriate. He is just a 100% totally inept bumbler. What a joke of a man.

As long as I am anonymous, I might add: If he is this bad in his public life, can you imagine how awful he must be in intimate situations? Poor Laura. And as a father? Poor Barbara and Jenna.
