Will a GOP 'win/gain' in Senate/House in '06 be the last straw?? |
|
Edited on Tue Sep-27-05 06:33 PM by Rosco T.
We hear the feeling of the people. The GOP is dog meat for '06 in virtually every race. People are turning against the GOP on every front. They will vote ANYTHING but Repub in '06, or just plain not vote.
Yet, if '06 give them a STRONGER position, thanks to Voting chicanry (diebold, voter superssion, etc. etc...) going so far against the 'will of the people'..
Will that be when we follow Jeffereson's guidance on how to maintain Democracy?
Extrapolate that to '08 and multiply x10.

If 06 doesn't happen, may as well pack up the bags and move on. The country will be a mere shell of itself if it even survives until 2008 (for the next Republican president to finish off)

:-( Think the pukes will give up power so easily with fair elections? '00. '02 ,04, they are on a roll. I can't see them allowing free and fair elections any time soon.

5. What is the strategy for 06? |
|
Is it relying on "we hope there's no fraud" strategy? So far the only convictions for fraud in the 04 election were democrats, so I think that we need to maybe get a different message out to the voters instead of "I hope they don't cheat."

9. Can they rig the entire ballot? |
|
Okay, the machine I voted on defaulted to Bush 5 times, and the Greedy Old Pirates Party made sure my vote didn't count, but some of this chicanery must have ground support or it wouldn't fly in the city and states where the races are held so can they rig every race, it's seems to be like the grab was only for the top slot, and in many states that would be for governor, if they started tinkering further down the ballot, that might cut them off at the knees for the local support they need to cover up their hocus pocus. Just a theory!

breath. Americans will never rise up against the government. They talk big but when push comes to shove they cave. America has lost it's soul and it's heart. If we weren't such cowards we wouldn't have such an armed society. We arm ourselves out of fear.

hopes in general disgust with Bush, we'll lose. He's not going to be running, and the other candidates will distance themselves from him.
If we put our trust in eliminating vote fraud, we'll lose. The next 100% honest election will be the first in US history. Besides, I haven't seen much progress.
Unless we can form a message to counter that of the Republicans, and then maintain message discipline, we'll lose. The American people need a choice. As long as our leaders are Republican-lite, why go for the imitation stuff?
