FEMA spends $236mil on ships for evacuees = $1,276 a week per person BUT! |
|
a 7 day caribbean cruise is only $599 per person... and that would have included Food, Entertainment, Shuffle Board, 1 hour to the ship's relaxation resort or 3 hours of jet ski rental.
Not to mention the cost of fuel.
a 7 day alaskan cruise is only $999 per person
Not to mention the ships are sitting there off the Mississippi coast half empty.
It would have been cheaper to send evacuees on luxury cruises than to place them on docked ships that don't even include food or daily linen service.
Republicans.. The financially responsible party. *laugh*

The cruise line is Carnival Cruises.. who lists their point of business as Panama so they don't have to pay US taxes. In fact on $4+ billion in sales they only paid around $4 million to the US in taxes.
So they are tax dodgers basically.
