This has probably already been suggested re: the Roberts vote |
|
Edited on Fri Sep-30-05 02:41 PM by LittleClarkie
but today I was thinking about just who voted against Roberts. Many of our more conservative Democrats voted against Roberts, and some of the more progressive Democrats voted for him.
What is this, juditzu? Is there any reason why the way they all voted that would make contesting the next nominee easier? It was just such an ODD vote, you know? Clinton, Reid, Biden: Nay?
On edit: clarified. Sorry about that, chief.

3. Clarification. Our more conservative members = centrist |
|
or moderate. I didn't mean to suggest that they are true conservatives. Just more conservative than many of us would like at times.

5. Clinton and Biden have presidential ambitions |
|
Voting for Roberts is fodder for Democratic primary ads in New Hampshire and Iowa.
