Scooter Libby re: Judith Miller |
|
Judith Miller said Scooter Libby gave her the identity of an undercover CIA agent. Why aren't we screaming this from the rooftops?! Why aren't we turning this into a fullfleged media feeding frenzy like when Rove was similarly implicated?
Yes, Rove is evil incarnate, but Scooter Libby isn't much better. They're both very high-ups in the adminstation. And if someone can establish Dick Cheney directed Libby or even just knew about it, it's a big honking deal! There's only two people on earth I'd rather see do a perp walk than Karl Rove. Dick Cheney is one of them.

1. Libby is directly under Cheney. Why else would he care about Plame? |
|
And where has Cheney been during every disaster the US has suffered under this administration?

6. Madsen is speculating that Fitz turned Libby. |
|
That's pretty wild, but if it's true it'll make for some very interesting indictments. Libby would not turn against the admin unless things were pretty damned bad.
I have a sneaking suspicion that this is going to blow sky high, higher than we could ever have imagined two years ago. We may see the whole mess collapse. I hope everybody has their duck tape handy.

16. Another thing: This Fitzgerald knows Libby is the leak. The damn lawyer |
|
Edited on Fri Sep-30-05 03:52 PM by AlinPA
for Libby said he was. Yet nothing happens! Fixed. Up front. That was Fitzgeralds's assignment. "Investigate", take a long time and it will go away. The fact that the media is now saying in a matter-of- fact way that Libby is the the leaker and nobody is raising hell it means its over and awwww sh-t. This admin. controls everything. The hell with it.

Everything. Repeat. Everything we know speaks for a special prosecutor and a grand jury who are doing their job. If the fix was in, two judges don't throw Judy Miller in jail. If the fix was in, there would be all sorts of press leaks from the investigation. If the fix was in, it wouldn't take almost two years to close the damned thing down. If the fix was in, we wouldn't have a WH press office stone-walling questions. If the fix was in, Novak doesn't blow up on live TV. If the fix was in, Patrick Fitzgerald would not be the special prosecutor. And how in the Sam Hell do you fix a grand jury?
Take off the tin foil hat and think. Gees!

25. I appreciate your mental state. |

I'm there, too.
We still have to focus on the facts and not let ourselves go off on any tangents. Part of the Repug strategy is to sow confusion. Let's agree not to make their job any easier. After all, we have to keep our brains in gear here and not let them distract us.
The control everything, but they control nothing. The Repug system is like a cheap sweater, it's unravelling all over. They're losing the public. Everything they touch is turning to shit.
People are getting tired of the lies, the propaganda, the death.
It won't be long now. We've got to stay on task and make sure it happens soon.

else was involved thought they would accomplish by giving out an undercover CIA agents name. This sounds like dealing with bratty five year old kids. Americans deserve better than this ridiculous nonsense.

1. Outting Valerie PLame would punish her husband for whistleblowing. Ok thats obvious.
2. To out Brewster Jennings, PLame's cover company.... causing the immediate destruction of a legit CIA operation would muddle up the intelligence community so they can continue with their bullshit.

You win the kupee doll.
Some have speculated that Plame might have gotten themselves into something that BushCo was doing between the sheets. This is pure tin foil hat stuff, but I think if I were investigating this, it would be something that I would be looking into. We may never know about this, so it is probably fruitless to speculate here. Interesting, as it is.

9. Scooter scares me worse than Rove. |
|
Everyone knows Rove is a liar, an ass and a conieving creep.
But Libby's relatively quiet. Still waters run deep.
My guess is that Judith is CIA, Bolton's come down on her on the one side and Fitz on the other. It's either sing and risk a pair of concrete shoes or go to jail for the rest of her life for treason.

14. Amen. Treason. Libby either is guilty of treason, or Cheney is. |
|
Somebody's gotta go to jail for treason and somebody's gotta either volunteer to do it, or finger Cheney and Bush.
Does this mean Libby's gonna go to jail for the B** crime family?
Why else would the judge demand her testimony? Because it's gonna put someone behind bars and expose the administration.

The implications of this go far deeper than Plame.
In a nutshell.
Libby/Cheney fed Miller bogus information about Iraqi WMD's.
Miller wrote articles in NYT about Iraqi WMD's.
Cheney went on TV saying NYT articles about WMD's are proof of need for war.
This is why Miller didn't want to reveal who her source was, not some phony journalistic ethics.
Miller was a propogandist for administration WMD lies, and now 1900+ Americans and 100,000+ Iraqi's are dead.
