Man on DeLay grand jury just gave interview in Austin local news
I couldn't find any written transcript of exactly what he said, but in a nutshell he said that there is evidence that Tom DeLay knew exactly the practices that were going on in TRMPAC, and that it wasn't just a case of the people under him breaking the law without his knowledge.

It was KVUE, a local austin station.

7. actually KVUE is ABC affiliate but....
the video on News 8 was basically the same as the one on KVUE. I thought it was notable that the reporter asked the guy if DeLay had personal knowledge that wrongdoing was being committed, and the juror said the evidence indicated that he had full knowledge of what was going on.

3. We need to send it out to the national news channels and their
talking heads because they frequently seem clueless about this and just go along with the RW talking points re Ronnie Earle.

8. This is really bad news
Having served on a grand jury before I know that anyone discussing the proceedings can be prosecuted and the case dropped. The only person allowed to talk about it is the lead prosecutor. Lets hope this didn't really happen or it will be back to square one for this investigation.

11. Exactly! If someone got to a juror
and it is thrown out on a technicality then DeLay is back in congress next week. Sounds Rovian to me.

15. check this out.....they are making a film documentary about the DeLay case
AUSTIN, Texas -- The Texas district attorney who brought a criminal case against House Majority Leader Tom DeLay gave a movie crew behind-the-scenes access during the investigation.

DeLay's defenders say that's proof that the DA is trying to make headlines for himself.

Independent filmmakers Mark Birnbaum and Jim Schermbeck said the Travis County district attorney and his staff gave them some interviews. But the filmmakers say they did not have access to any of the secret grand jury proceedings or witness staff's deliberations in the DeLay investigation.

Their documentary is called The Big Buy.

DeLay was charged earlier this week with conspiring to illegally funnel corporate campaign contributions to Republican candidates for the Texas Legislature.

Earle's office declined to comment on the access given to the filmmakers.
