Disclaimer Stickers For Science Texbooks.
Wording for the first disclaimer (top left) is taken verbatim from the sticker designed by the Cobb County School District ("A community with a passion for learning") in Georgia. Really, I'm not making it up! The other 14 are mildly educational spoofs that demonstrate the real meaning of "theory" and the true motivations of School Board members. Ideally, these stickers will deter people in other districts from using "disclaimers" as a way to undermine the teaching of evolution. Please forward them to anyone who is considering it, or to friends in school districts where disclaimers are likely to be discussed.

1. I think all special interest groups
should be able to put stickers on text books. Lots and lots of stickers. Glow in the dark stickers, fuzzy stickers.

Kids would learn to read. It would be cool.

3. I want a disclaimer for the "intelligent design" disclaimer.
Disclaiming that ID was inserted upon duress, against the collective wills of science teachers and other academics, that it contradicts scientific principles in other disciplines, that it is in fact religion/not science, religion belongs in churchese/not public schools, and that it is as much a fiction as Fairy Tales. And with that in mind, enjoy the read!

5. Oh, no! it's that "Spherical Earth" business again!
I thought the Diet of Worms in 1513 or the First Vatican Council did away with that?
:sarcasm:

My local high school had a Fundy for PRINCIPAL!

He called me one day concerned about my daughter's behavior, and suggested that perhaps I should "Have our Pastor counsel her".
I lit into him. He had NO doubt when I finished where she got her "Godless" ideas.

He left after she graduated and got a job ram-rodding a private Fundy school...Bet he was a plant.

Our school board hasn't been infested with them YET.

6. Cobb County has since stopped using the
evolution disclaimer stickers. My daughter and family live there in Marietta, and she pulled the stickers OFF of my granddaughter's text book. She said that later, all of the stickers were pulled off. I don't know if that was because of a lawsuit or they got tired of being laughed at.
