Jim Robinson is doing nothing by lining his pockets with the money from the donations. Typical crooked Republican.

I think it's time a couple of my pals at the IRS stick the Treasury Department Proctoscope up your financial butt. Dustpuppy raised some legitimate questions. And if you are indeed paying what you claim for bandwidth, you're getting Cheneyed.

It's not our fault your site is a piece of crap and ours looks good and easy to use. You could have good site too if you stopped lining you pockets with "donations"

Whether being referenced by freepers or in reference to freepers, it's de rigueur to spell it "moran."

21. Well, now... Let me see... I can debunk that. |
|
I can get 2000 GB (That is 2 TB) on a 100 MBit line to a major backbone hub, served by Debian or Redhat or (yuck) Windows with two 80 GB drives, Dual-core Athlon 2600 processors and 2 GB of Ram for $300 per month.
Nobody can tell me that RimJob's little whorehouse uses more than that.
And they are assuming that RimJob was quoting $2700 a quarter... Nope. He was quoting $2700 a MONTH.
I'm betting he gets most of that kicked back into his pockets.
Not that we will ever see the receipts. He could claim anything since he is a for-profit business.

I can easily get colocation and bandwith (1 terabyte) at a cost of $70
This statement PROVES what an ignorant moron you are. The $70/month solution probably works GREAT for you and your Demon-rat friends since your web site only gets 10 hits a month.
You obviously know NOTHING about data provisioning. 26 posted on 10/01/2005 8:22:24 PM PDT by lowbridge < Post Reply | Private Reply | To 8 | View Replies >

Bullshit, "data provisioning" bandwidth is bandwidth, if you put bloated shitty half baked php you need a lot of bandwith. If you have some tight code, you will not need that much bandwidth.
Ya, you are so smart there Freepers, you are shelling out 70 grand for a site that is almost usless.
Lets face it, you guys do chronological post because the programing of a real forum, link this one, phpbb, vboards, well in fact, almost all boards but yours, is hard. you do chronological post because you lack the skill to do a real board...

25. Actually... Bad php code does not eat net bandwidth... |
|
Edited on Sat Oct-01-05 11:50 PM by benburch
it eats PROCESSOR bandwidth.
He dumps 98% text out of that site. Most graphics are hosted elsewhere by users.
Assume he has 20,000 users a day, each reading a LOT of text, say 100KB, that is just over 2GB a day, or 60 GB per month.
If he had 200,000 users per day, each reading 100KB of text, that is 20 GB per day, 600 GB per month.
If he had 600,000 users per day, each reading 100KB of text, that is 60 GB per day, 1800 GB per month.
And even at that extreme he would not need more than the $300 server solution I outlined elsewhere.
Now, about how many visits does he get per day?
Alexa puts his "reach" at 600 per million internet users. A good source puts the total number of internet users worldwide at 600 million.
So that means he gets 360,000 hits per day, well within the limits above.
Now how many unique users does he get?
Alexa puts unique users per million at about 62 (reading off the graph) so that means he gets a total of 37200 unique users per day.
All in all, my $300 solution covers this nicely!
