HAHA! Bush team plagiarizes West Wing

http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2005/10/2/172930/242

Bush's new PR spin:

"Doing his job has always been his strongest suit," said one adviser close to the White House. "Let Bush be Bush. Let him lead. It's what Bush does in times like these."

West Wing:

"I don't want to feel like this any longer."
"You don't have to ..."
"This is more important than re-election, I want to speak now."
"I'm going to talk to the staff, I'm going to take them off the leash."
"You have a strategy for all this?"
"I have the beginning of one."
"What?"
Leo writes out on a legal pad, "Let Bartlet Be Bartlet".

1. Yeah, right, when Bush* is Bush* he fucks up royally.
That's why he's so scripted and so isolated from anyone except fawning sycophants.

2. Hate to say this, but West Wing was plagiarizing the Reagan Admin...
That was a common line in the 80s..."Let Reagan be Reagan".

8. Hey, c'mon. Stop that! You know very well that ...
Howdy Doody, Romper Room, and Laugh In were all run much better than the administration is run.

7. Let Bartlet be president.
Bartlet being Bartlet is so much better than Bush being Bush.
