Electronic voting is NY ready
http://www.recordonline.com/archive/2005/10/02/bshavaw.htm

Take one far-reaching voting reform act. Stir in one slow-acting state Legislature.
Combine with 62 counties scrambling to choose, buy and deploy thousands of high-tech voting machines in time for next year's primary elections.
Is this a recipe for electoral calamity in the Empire State?
"It could easily be a disaster," said Blair Horner, who heads the New York Public Interest Research Group.

3. This is happening in my state, too.
Go to every electoral board or commission you can. Scream bloody murder for voter verifiable paper ballots.

4. This is DISASTEROUS!! Watch for NY to turn RED in 2006.
Until EVERY SINGLE PERSON on EVERY SINGLE LIBERAL BLOG starts camping out on the steps of their state legislature, Diebold & friends are going to have EVERY SINGLE STATE under the thumb of these totally corrupt machines.

And once every state legislature has been voted republican, there will NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER again be Democracy in this country.

This is the issue on which EVERY other issue turns.

6. Up until now they have just been swinging tight races.
Would they have the guts to lift New York? I think they'll keep pushing it until there is a general outcry or Democracy is effectively dead.
