OK. I want to know if Harriet Miers is pro-choice or anti-choice, pro-gay
rights or anti-gay rights. What do we know about this Bush insider? She donated to Dems MANY, MANY years earlier. THAT means nothing to me. After all she HAS worked for the idiot for YEARS. Her donating to Dems in the past means nothing. I have a feeling she's a wolf in sheep's clothing. What's her stance on seperation of church and state? I want to know who this Bush lover is. I don't trust that man to nominate someone who's a "moderate" and piss off his religious RW wacko nut job base. He NEEDS them, ESPECIALLY NOW that his numbers are in the toilet and the repuke party is imploding.. This is fishy. JMCPO I don't buy the "she donated to the Dems" crap. That point is moot since she works for the idiot and has for a long, long time.

3. That's my fear.
:grr: We need to dig on this woman and if the Democrats can't learn anything about her, like Roberts, they had BETTER filibuster her confirmation.

8. I agree! She will help cover his ass
just like she did with his military records OR recuse herself and leave a repuke majority to rule on all those cases.

5. She's clearly a crackpot...
On Democracy Now, they quoted a National Review story in which she called shrub "the most brilliant man she knows." Now that's scary!

7. * might just as well have appointed Sally Field to SCOTUS
After all, she's played a Supreme Court judge on TV, which right there makes her more experienced and IMO more qualified than this Miers idiot.

10. Dear God, do we have a chance of getting Sally Field on the
bench? She would be sooooo much better than anyone in the emerging majority!

12. She'll be whatever * wants her to be.
He might as well have appointed himself because she's so loyal to him that whatever he wants, he'll get from her.

13. She is someone who has been in Bush's inside group since before
he was in the white house. Therefore, I feel pretty certain she is pro-life, anti-gay, and does not agree with separation of church and state.

I don't know for sure since she has never been a judge b4; however, her soft-spoken appearance, and with her comments on admiring her mother for her faith kind of answered those questions for me.

Of course now on Washington Journal, the right is calling in and talking about us being in Biblical prophecy now where the Bible says woman will be leading us during the end times. I can imagine what will be said if Hillary runs in 08.

Also, on the White House site, Miers has a couple pages where she answers questions for the president. One that really stood out for me was when she was answering a question and stated, "I am from Dallas too" . . . Is this another statement regarding Bush's inability to accept he is not from TEXAS?

Oh well, time will tell. What else can we do?
