Interested repubs - possible family conversion

OK Guys, I have "sparked" interest in my family, at least to the point where they're saying "show me". I have links, but didn't want to send them to a ton of out-and-out progressive, liberal or dem sites without "clearing" it first. I think that would really turn them off. SOOOO, I've been collecting links and throwing them on a page that is essentially a rundown of headlines. Please take a look and tell me what you think. And in other news...

I was trying to come up with at least one good example of each of those from (hopefully) somewhere that they a consider legit mainstream media outlet. If I found info from a non-mainstream outlet, I tried to back it up with other or corroborating headlines from other MSM outlets. I've included a brief (pulled up to 4-5 sentences out of the article) blurb to give them the gist of the article, so if you read this page, it would at least give you an overview.

It's a work in progress, but I was hoping to be able to give the family the URL tonight. They've actually asked for it, so that's at least a start of turning a new leaf. This is so hopefully, I can get some peace on these family night dinners of 17 or so. There are exactly 4 of us proclaimed dems. The rest don't think Bush is doing great, but give him the benefit of the doubt because their minister says so. At least I've gotten them interested enough to ask.

I tried to do something similar keeping a page of links. Unfortunately I kept in in a saved email format and lost it. I have started over but it is nowhere near as organized. When I get time I'll sift throught it to see if I have any mainstream sources for you.

9. Are they die-hard political junkies?

I honestly think it's possible to throw too much at people. My standard line is, "If you care about people, and you think that we should all take care of each other and the weakest members of society, and work TOGETHER to make a better world, then you should be voting Democratic." Then I start talking about the environment, because in my opinion that's the most important issue facing us today, and one that the Bush administration has completely fucked up. If we want to have anything left to give our kids, that's what we need to be working on.
