C-SPAN 1 replaying a speech by Meirs from April 22, '05 |
|
I just turned it on but she was talking about how many lawyers were at her Senior Staff meetings every morning. Seven lawyers on that council. "Come on in, the water is just fine", said to encourage more lawyers to serve the government.
She then talks about how the Patriot Act needs to "stay intact and available to help protect this country".
Not sure who she is making this speech to, but she is praising them for their help in 2000.
Anybody else watching this?

1. I saw a bit of a speech she gave to |
|
a repuke lawyers' group. Might have been the same one. She was wearing a cross bigger than those typically worn by nuns, and invoked God at least once.
Doesn't look like she knows how to draw the line between her private and professional life when it comes to religion. Not a good omen.
