University of Texas Student Government takes on Taco Bell
Back in the 90's The University of Texas at Austin privatized their Student Union food court. Out went unique items in favor of Taco Bell and Burger King.

Yesterday the SG took issue with Six L's Packing Co. They are the company that supplies Taco Bell with their food. They pay their workers 43 cents for a 32-pound bucket of tomatoes. Because of this, the SG has asked the Union to removed the Taco Bell.

Since the Union is addicted to the money Taco Bell (and the other chains) brings in, this will probably not happen, but it is nice to see UT's SG take this kind of action.

2. What? It isn't serious until it happens to Texas?
There's been a corporate takeover of virtually every aspect of American life up to and including education taking place now decades on end. Don't you watch Daria? Maybe Texas is the last to figure it out. It's not proper to shoot rival cheerleadrs.

5. Explain exactly where it is you do not understand...
Otherwise, I am currently working a scientific sample for the University of California wherein parents are asked flat-out if their children are eating fast food at lunch from vending machines and as well the likes of Taco Bell. There are mentioned as such by name. Why is Texas so far behind the curve on all this shit is what I do not understand.

Do not tell me that you haven't heard the now nationally famous and easily recognizable story of the 'cheerleader mom'. Because I do not have the time to break down the entirety of the whole world for your pleasures.

4. Pardon me, but
Can you please explain what you mean by your post? Specifically, what you mean by “it’s not proper to shoot rival cheerleadrs(sp).”

7. You have some issues
I wrote a post about students taking a stand on an issue and you attack the entire state. I thought that on a form about progressive politics people might want to hear about a progressive agenda in action, but I guess that means my head is in my ass.

By the way, is an almost 10 year-old story about a cheerleader's mother the best heat you can throw? I mean there is so much other stuff about Texas and this is what your pick.

Wishing you the best from the Lone Star State.
