Bush's Supreme Court Nominee, It Appears, Scratched The Truth from Bush's Scandalous National Guard Service By Allegedly Using Taxpayer Money to Have a Witness Paid Off. So, Now He Appoints Her, His Personal Consigliore, to the Supreme Court to Protect Him When White House Trouble Hits SCOTUS. Compounding the Mafia-Like Travesty, Harry Reid Gives Her Basically a Green Light in Monday Statement. Why Doesn't Bush Just Rename America the Soviet Union? The Name's Available? And We Don't Want to Hear Reid or Any Democrat Say, "We Need to Know More About Her Because She Doesn't Have a Record." She's Got a Record, But It's More of a Bush Rap Sheet.

3. You sound as if you disapprove. So do I. But there are quite a few |
|
appeasers here who are chanting the "...it could be much worse..." line that was pretty prevalant here when Roberts was nominated.

it could be much worse. Luttig, Garza, Wilkinson, Brown, Owen, Alito- the list of worse nominees is long. I think this woman is unqualified and probably a Bush toady but I don't know how you could argue that she would be worse than Michael Luttig, et al. I am not saying she should be supported, but calling those who choose to live in reality and acknowledge that there are worse picks "appeasers" is a bit harsh.

Pardon my mixed metaphors.
edit: if and when El Stupido comes before the Supreme Court, will she recuse herself due to conflict of interest?

7. This is getting really dangerous |
|
when a president asks for blind loyalty above all else and chooses judges on the basis of payback...(Roberts getting him into the White House in 2000 and his Personal Lawyer) irregardless of any qualifications...but I would think that never having been a judge makes our Supreme Court now the place for job-training, instead of a place where highly experienced judges take the bench...
One thing I ? is - if Bush is charged with anything and has to go before the Supreme Court, will these two have to recuse themselves - since they legally represented him at times?
