I wondered too. It would, could, give them the excuse for a "police state", as some (okay, me too) believe this admin would like.

If so, I know what side of the fight I'M on. I stand with Black America. And, in truth, at this point, I respect their culture and their attitudes more than White America. Allow this american to claim that bit of identity? Please? Please let me claim some black heritage, though I'm not black, because black culture is certainly as American as it gets, and it feels like the only good part left. As an American, I hold onto it proudly. I can yet have respect for my fellow Americans, even if I am sad I don't look like them, sad because so MANY people that look like me seem flat-out evil and destructive.

they are absolutely trying to start a race war, it truly angers me, unfortunately many people, even so-called progressives, are easily led by the nose, i see post after post on even this site of ppl chiming in and supporting all sorts of racist b.s.

at a time when we should be pulling together, in a disaster that has killed rich and poor, black, white, & asian, young & old, the media is spinning it as a disaster that affects the "other," as a poor black disaster rather than as a human disaster

i can already see the anger, hell, i feel the anger, no one likes to feel that their dead & their losses are being swept under the rug

the purpose is the same old purpose, keep us fighting amongst ourselves instead of doing something abt this criminal administration that has sold us to the saudis
