What is the actual Bush body count in New Orleans and...
...why is the number being suppressed (as in Iraq)?

Here is part of an email I received today:
"Lori, I have heard from a woman who went to New Orleans on the Pet Rescue mission that she knows of a ware-house where 10,000 bodies (corpses) are stored. She says news of this is being dismissed and impossible to get out to the public. She asked me who to reach about this and I suggested legitgov. I will attempt to pin this down next time I see her."

1. wow - can you talk to the witness?
that sounds a little farfetched, but who knows?

3. But, even if that number is exaggerated, the death toll must have been...
higher than the 'official' total, much higher.

4. I'm sure you're right
But since you have access to a witness, can you pin her down?

10. I saw the warehouse on film the first day it was open
for business. I have posted this info a few times. I think a CNN reporter was filmng this. They were obviously across the road from the warehouse, doing a long shot. FIVE large semi's were driving up and turning into the morgue. They were refrigerated trucks and were carrying bodies. How many a day were coming to the morgue? Obviously 5 very large trucks can carry a lot of bodies. Why have we never seen a repeat of this? Were camermen barred from the site? I watched almost continously from Day 1 and surfed back and forth between MSNBC and CNN, as so much was happening.CNN having the best coverage by far. I also heard it reported later, that if the bodies were badly decomposed or could not be identified, authorities could not issue death certificates, therefore these bodies would not be counted. Then, suddenly , there were no more reports. Did anyone else see or hear this?

20. Anderson Cooper . . .
. . . refers to the refrigerated trucks in his Rolling Stone interview.

"The next day, I went to Waveland, Mississippi, and the police were going door-to-door, and when they found people who were dead, they'd make a "V" on the door, for "victims." Then a refrigerator truck would arrive and take them out."

I think he would be the perfect person to follow up on the 'case of the missing bodies in the warehouse' story.

6. Another possibility . . .
would be that some of the bodies are those which were washed out of their graves.

7. I read a thread here the other day on the large discrepency
in the numbers of missing and the numbers of deaths. I hope we get to some resemblance of truth, it's the least of what is owed the victims of Katrina, let alone the country.

3. Second hand knowledge alert....
A friend of a friend is working with relief efforts in NOLA, said they had gone through first 10,000 body bags already. Not sure how reliable

Made this up over night for reference:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=104&topic_id=4955324&mesg_id=4955324

There is another earlier thread that gave links the early reports from first responders as to how many bodies they bagged up for retreival too. Numbers way higher in MS too. I will have to recall what phrase I can use to search that one back up from archive.

Rita dropped off the radar today and Katrina is being dwarfed by the diversion du jour Meir. Have google alerts and will keep posting.

PA newspaper editor joins Kenyon for body recovery ; good or bad news?
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=104&topic_id=4955324&mesg_id=4955324

I will repost the above in the Pennsylvania thread and see if anyone can tell me anything about this editor.

16. Bush tried to kill as many poor people as possible. That's where...
the evidence takes us.

Picking Mike Brown was not an 'accident.' Brown, himself, absorbed a lot of the heat regarding FEMA, which had been 'secretly' transformed by the Bush regime into an agency to protect government/corporate officials during the next Bush terror attack. Do you think government officials and corporate CEOs would be waiting on any rooftops during any national emergency? LOL!

3. I really don't know but my friend was telling me
that 2 of his buddies just got back from helping in New Orleans. They
said that the water is still FULL of bodies, but they were told to not
touch the bodies and only deal with the storm debris. Someone needs
to help with body recovery

interesting how they're keeping the number to under 1000. Transparency this is not.
