BOOGA BOOGA BOOGA! Withdrawing from Iraq = BIG terror in USA!

CAMP LEJEUNE, North Carolina (Reuters) - Vice President Dick Cheney warned on Monday that Iraq could become a staging area for large-scale terrorist attacks on the United States if troops are withdrawn too early, as he tried to shore up waning public support for the war.

2. Well......
Whenever one of the "allies" talked about withdrawing or drawing down troop strength - what happened?

Spain - hit.
London - hit.
Australia - Bali was hit.

Coincidence????????????????

13. only war profiteers benefit from terrorist type bombings,ALL the rest lose
The terroists lose crediblilty for tageting innocent civilians, making their strategists' criticism of the west less sincere.
The victims suffer death and injuries.
The society gets diverted from more important funding of health & education programs, on both sides of the battle.
Coincidence is no explanation.

6. please explain the chain of events that would occur, DICK
western nations all have to live with the possibility of terror. another attack, even of the scale of 9-11, won't cause the republic to collapse, no matter how much you'd like to be dictator, you DICK.

10. Who pounded the ant hill in the first place, Dick?
Sometimes I wonder if that isn't his intention. I just find it very hard to believe these people are that clueless. Anyone with the slightest objectivity could see that "democratizing" Iraq wasn't going to be like post-war Germany and Japan, two very homogeneous societies compared to Iraq. But of course to mention this is to "not want the Iraqi people to succeed".

while I would do just about anything to see that craggy faced bastard locked up, the fact is we do need to continue to support the development of a stable government in Iraq. Anyone remember Afghanistan?

putting strategies, tactics, military budgets, and a boatload of politics I did not speak for... into my mouth.

All I am saying is we should examine ways to prevent another Afghanistan.

28. It appears to be a pretty big mess.
But I don't have a lot of on the ground facts.

I think we have some smart people in the Dem party that can help move both these countries in the right direction by involving more of the regional players. We should be a broker for discussions. As far as military involvement, I think we should only be providing training, and some defense as necessary. But I am not an expert on security.

14. Dems should reply loudly
That it was just this fear mongering about mushroom clouds over the US that dick used to scare people into voting for bush* in '04. That would help to remind people of how badly they were mislead/lied to, and remember how we got into this mess in Iraq to begin with.
