Watch the video please and see if you are not as completely outraged as I am. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM said that they saw NO REASON for Bill Bennett to apologize. Because he first QUALIFIED his racist remark. And then (again) they felt free to play fast and loose with the truth - one of the panelists says that black people have more abortions than white people.

What pigs. They are so dense they don't even know how they are offending their panel member. They don't even know they are racist. Apparently, you can advance a genocidal theory, as long as you immediately follow that with "but that would be a terrible thing to do."

What completely soulless beings. It comes down to "maybe you shouldn't do thought experiments on the air."

but I can't really get all that excited about it, I must confess. Can someone please explain to me why this is a racist comment? Can anyone on this board deny that a: african americans do, in fact, commit crime (and yes, if you include homicide, at a higher rate than any other ethnic or racial group in the US, especially in urban areas) We can have a discussion on the reasons for this (african americans are more likely to be born into poor, unstable communities with crappy education systems and a dearth of economic opportunities that has persisted for generations, and that any group subjected to such an environment would almost inevitably have higher crime rates) but you can't deny the reality.

two: eliminating any group that commits more than it's share of crime will, in fact reduce the crime rate. By very definition.

Even Bennett said that this was distasteful, insane and just plain wrong, which I think we can all agree on. But what he said is, in fact, true.
