17. I've been gone for a week so not sure if this has been discussed or

not. But I heard yesterday about the suicide bombing outside of a Oklahoma University football game on Saturday evening. No one seems to be making a big deal about it on the news. It seems kind of suspicious to me - not just a suicide. I read that another bomb was found a short distance away from the stadium. It's kind of scary if you ask me. There goes *'s reasoning of "have to fight 'em over there to keep 'em from here". Anyone know any more about it?

But other than that - election fraud would be my top choice. That is the root problem to all of the other myriad of problems.

The Arctic's native communities don't need satellite images to tell them this. John Keogak, 47, an Inuvialuit from Canada's North-West Territories, hunts polar bears, seals, caribou and musk ox. "The polar bear is part of our culture," he said. "They use the ice as a hunting ground for the seals. If there is no ice there is no way the bears will be able to catch the seals." He said the number of bears was decreasing and feared his children might not be able to hunt them. He said: "There is an earlier break-up of ice, a later freeze-up. Now it's more rapid. Something is happening."

And now, said Mr Keogak, there was evidence that polar bears are facing an unusual competitor - the grizzly bear. As the sub-Arctic tundra and wastelands thaw, the grizzly is moving north, colonising areas where they were previously unable to survive. Life for Alaska's polar bears is rapidly becoming very precarious."

This article began with how native hunters found half a dozen drowned polar bears floating in the ocean 200 miles north of Point Barrow, AK. Bears can swim up to 75-100 miles in Arctic waters in pursuit of seals or mates. However, they can't swim 400 miles, which was how far away the retreating sea ice was from the land.
