Franklin Graham is a filthy scumbag. On CNN now. |
|
Saying there was "Satanic worship" in New Orleans and that God has given NOLA an opportunity to repent from its gay and lesbian past.
The filthy scumbag also said he was "on the phone with the White House" today talking about giving the relief trailers being used by the government over to the churches.
Filthy scumbags.

of being forced to go to church and listen to a douchebag that sounded amazingly like him. Maybe CNN is trying for those winger viewers after all?

3. Come ON.. Give the poor guy a break |
|
Everyone knows that the religious people in the US have no voice..have no way to get their message out.. the have no churches, they are overtaxed, they have no access to schools, they are not allowed to pray, they have no radio programs, no tv stations, no one in DC who likes them...CNN is their only hope to get the message out..
um..never mind :sarcasm:

2. Again so why did god kill the old and the weak with his wrath |
|
seeing as the french quarter - Ground zero for everything in New Orleans (including voodoo shops (the satanic stuff) was left pretty much untouched - a strip joint reopened there - it was one of the first business to reopen.
And there is that whole smiting Mississippi thing - again innocents died and the first things to get back on their feet will the casinos - on dry land this time.
Frankly I'd like my god to have a better sense of aim.

government turned over to the churches? Do the churches want to donate them to the poor who were left homeless by Katrina.
Wouldn't it have been easier if "God" had just spoken to bush about New Orleans repenting from its gay and lesbian ways. I understand bush and God speak to each other so why send a deadly hurricane.

Be very SKEERED. Hell is to far away, and God is impatient.
But, if you come to my church three times a week and give to the collection each and every time, you'll be poor, sure. But when I get in my private jet and fly up to the heavens, I'll pass your name over and you'll get a place in heaven.
Talk about con jobs.

He's a legacy to his father's reputation and voice and looks. His degree is in business, not theology or counselling. He's a fraud if he represents that he knows more about this stuff than anyone else.

Just like there is in Charlotte, where his daddy came from, Minneapolis, where the Graham empire is based, and for all I know, in Podunk, Conn. We won't even discuss Hell, Michigan...
Oh yes, the big reason N.O. has such a strong GLBT community is that people from around the Deep South have fled there seeking refuge from such filthy scumbags as Graham. :puke:

Why do so many halfway reasonable people give respect to him just because he's Billy Graham's son? And why do so many people give respect to Billy Graham? WHY?!?!?!?!?!?!
Do they LISTEN to the words coming out of his MOUTH?!
I am thinking of my father here. Never goes to church (though somewhat Christian - prays, thinks I am a hell-bound heathen, etc.), cringes at this type of talk from the local pulpit and thus avoids organized religion, yet is horrified if I criticize this man when he is on TV spewing his pointless filth.
:puke:
I agree about these people making American look bad, too. My English friends (I used to live over there) are always seeing sh*t like this and asking me about why 'we' think like 'that'...

17. We need an email campaign against this nonsense. |
|
We need emails to promote the concept that an area could be under "God's wrath" for supporting an unjust war, killing thousands of innocent people.

And left the French Quarter pretty much intact. Doesn't sound right to me. People should be careful when they claim to speak for God.

23. Churches to act as the filter of exclusion |
|
The statement was most revealing in the wider picture of his earlier comments about remaking New Orleans. It's part of a wider strategy coordinated with the White House otherwise such an unimportant conversation would not have taken place.
This is important. The trailer proposal that Graham initiated in conversation with the White House would allow the church to act as filter to keep out anyone the repugs term an undesirable element. Is anyone not involved with the Right Wing churches going to get the temporary housing? Of course not. It's part of a larger scheme to exclude blacks, gays, etc. from repopulating the city and thereby convert it to Republican territory.
Beyond that, Graham's proposal includes a direct government tithe to religion by having the government give the trailers to the churches for their own use or to sell (his words) after the temporary housing needs are met.
