I rolled my eyes at first but the guy writing that article actually followed up his suspicions with some investigation. Yikes!

I hope there are DUers reading this thread who can tell us whether or not there's any truth to this. If there is, Big Brother is In The House.

One thing that makes me wonder whether this is true is the fact that many many people know how to build their own computers and take their own computers apart--there's no way the government could expect this to stay a secret for long.

I can't wait to read the replies to this thread from people who understand this stuff....

Just because this article is a 'hoax' think the government hasn't tried this?
The FBI has stuff that does this, but it might yeild more info if you can get everything someone types on their computer.

Sorry, but I'd be more willing to bet that there is more truth to this than implied.

That and I can't wait to hear about little old ladies being arrested for having the wrong combination of "bush" "Terror" or "bomb" show up on their log.

Something like, "My grandson told me today that Bush is 'the bomb' for fighting all those terrorists... I don't know what's with kids today that they can worship skinny rich floosies, tattooed screaming rock stars, and morons who happen to sit in the White House."

Yep, just watch - some Bush-loving screener will get all gung-ho and have her pulled in.
