Gallup: 45% say news media is too liberal
PRINCETON, NJ -- Forty-five percent of Americans believe the news media in this country are too liberal, while only 14% say the news media are too conservative. These perceptions of liberal inclination have not changed over the last three years. A majority of Americans who describe their political views as conservative perceive liberal leanings in the media, while only about a third of self-described liberals perceive conservative leanings.

4. What?
It's a big drop from what, three-four years ago when like, 80% of Americans thought that the media was too liberal?

That's good. At least the sheeple are waking up.

What's more -- the Fairness Doctrine needs to be re-enacted and Rupert Murdoch needs to be deported back to Australia and he can take his Faux with him.

7. People seem to think
that certain FACTS are debatable.
Thats why we have frickin polls on whether Iraq was involved in 9/11 or whether Iraq has WMD's. Look... they either do or they don't... and some people just can't handle that.
They also seem to talking about hypocracy (on one side only ) is an important part of "balance"
It's very sad.

8. The success of Goebbels v2.0
We could (and probably will by 2050) have a media even more grotesquely Fre-Market Stalinist than it is today. I daresay, if tends continue, that the merely laughable Imperial Amerikan Pravda will be much more like the original Pravda than in our worst nightmares, and will make this current bunch of Media Whores look like Ed Murrow.

Such is the success of Goebbels v2.0 that, at that time, there will still be some 30-40% (possibly way higher) that think the ultimate Bushevik Free-Market Stalinist Right-Wing Sub-Media (when there isn't even an alternative left) is "too liberal".

That's the beauty of Goebbels v2.0, it creates an indigestible mass of automatons beholden entirely to Party-Approved Sub-Media. You don't have to worry about them, whatever is printed in the Party-Approved Sub-Media, they'll believe, regardless of whether it contrast Yesterday's Pravda.

Orwell called it "Doublethink". He was so correct it's frightening, though he did get his title 17 years wrong.
