Any DU'ers in New Orleans??? |
|
I have a friend that works for FEMA. She has helped a couple of our DU'ers with their paperwork hassles and helped to expedite their claims. Now she is in need. I received this email today. If anyone has a heads up on lodging for this family, would be appreciative.
Dear Friends & Family, Yesterday, my former husband, Bob, was working in New Orleans and fell off his ladder while inspecting a home. He is in the hospital in ICU in critical condition with severe head injuries. Finding transportation and lodging going into a disaster area is a nightmare... Bryan & his step-mom finally arrived at the hospital @ around 2pm today. I have been trying to find them a place to stay.... all of the hotels for 100 miles around are booked to the gills with emergency responders/contract workers/insurance adjustors, etc. I have even tried the *I work for FEMA* trump card for lodging but even that isn't working. Bob's co-worker has located his pick up truck is bringing it to the hospital. At least they will have transportation... NOW, hopefully, we can help them find lodging. Please hold my family in prayer during this difficult time and pray that Bob will receive blessings for a complete healing and recovery. I know that I can count on the prayers & love from my friends and family to surround them from afar.

3. She is the one that gets them for people |
|
but they go to people who already were living there, not to people who don't live there. Thanks for the bump though...maybe someone knows something. This lady is a gem. Would love to be able to help her after she helped members of our community.
