Miers gets borked
by Bork:

Among conservatives, William Kristol, editor of The Weekly Standard, and the anti-abortion group Operation Rescue called for Bush to withdraw the Miers nomination. Former federal judge Robert Bork, whose nomination to the Supreme Court the Senate rejected in 1987, described the choice of Miers as "a disaster on every level."

"It's a little late to develop a constitutional philosophy or begin to work it out when you're on the court already," Bork said on "The Situation" on MSNBC. "It's kind of a slap in the face to the conservatives who've been building up a conservative legal movement for the last 20 years."

Doncha love it when the machine falls apart?

2. i say she must be, nice lady though she may well be, there has never...
been so flagrant a g.w. bush 'fuck you assholes' brought to the national stage; with a nation awash in talented women with verifiable work & intellectual product, this rube hand picks his prayer buddy who will rubber-stamp, or so even he thinks, further intrusions into & upon our civil rights so that the bfee will be able to continue all nefarious doings long after having stole office & lied the world into a protracted death & destruction. Miers has to be rejected imo our constitution is far too precious;

impeach the wannabe boy king-caesar g.w. bush, for acting as though we are not worthy the time in his day :thumbsdown:
