Was The "Grisly Iraq Photo Guy" Set Up on The Porno Charges?

Christopher Michael Wilson is pictured in this police photograph taken October 7, 2005. Wilson, the operator of a Web site which posted grisly pictures of people killed in the Iraq and Afghan conflicts, was arrested on Friday on obscenity charges unrelated to the war photos, the Polk County sheriff's office said. Wilson faces one count of wholesale distribution of obscene material and 300 misdemeanor charges relating to the Web site and pornographic photos. The charges were unrelated to the photos of corpses from Iraq and Afghanistan, which the site states were provided by U.S. troops in exchange for free access to pornographic material. Where are the so called porno photos? How stupid would he have to be to dabble in porno along with the high profile posting of Dead Iraqis? Perhaps he is just that stupid or it was a setup to stop him from posting the photos that shine a true light on America in Iraq.

1. oh it was DEFINITELY the latter (the setup)....
I mean, there are hundreds of porn sites-- probably thousands. It was those photos of dead Iraqis-- and the enthusiastic commentary from the soldiers who posted them-- that focused attention on this site in particular.

Not too hard to imagine this guy's SO being a computer monitor, huh?

2. Porn is not illegal on the internet as long as not under age.
This was a paid forum site mainly for troops in Iraq. The porn was uploaded by the site users. People got some free access for posting photos, either porn, (often by wives at home), or solders sending in abuse photos mainly from Iraq.
