Robert Kennedy, Jr. was talking to Joe Kennedy today on the Ring of Fire Show on AAR. J. Kennedy was talking about the people that would die of cold this winter while the US govt. profits big from the land leases to the big energy companies. J. Kennedy thought that the govt should turn over those lease profits this winter to help the aged and underprivileged so they could make it through. He gave the example of an elderly lady that he knows that gets $8000 per year in social security. He said that she was probably going to have to pay about $4000 in heating costs because she lives up north. One half of her yearly SS to keep warm...so sad! This conversation just broke my heart seeing how the oil and gas companies are making record profits. Where has the compassion gone?
