12. Yeah, and the fact that we've done this before |

makes it especially sad. We are living out the truism, those who do not know history and bound to repeat it.

6. The Junta Has Never Been Honest About This War |
|
Wars do not end with a 'boom.' Wars end with negotiation.
When dim son landed on that air craft, and made like things were over, it was telling that there were no Iraqi diplomats on that ship to negotiate terms.
When Saddam was brought out of that hole, there were no Iraqi diplomats negotiating us outta there.
How many wars, in history, can be named that were not ended with negotiation?

Not US-NV, but NV-SV. Similarly, there was no negotiations because it was the unconditional replacement of government.
WW2, also, was ended without negotiations, but rather unconditionally. The German government fell without negotiations and was abolished, much as the Iraqi government was. There were diplomats for the Japanese government, but surrender was still unconditional and therefore there were no negotiations.
I wouldn't dream to draw further parallels between Iraq and WW2, but that does answer your question.
