1. Many of them have been locked, too... |
|
I wonder if (s)he even noticed or just kept on posting new ones?

3. Agreed, but why are so many of them locked without a Mod comment? |
|
I thought the Mods posted WHY they were being locked....

I wrote a note to admin about the spamming. Hopefully it can be looked in to tomorrow.

6. Agreed that most of the threads don't say much and are all posted |
|
by one poster, but I don't really see it as disruptive. No name-calling, no flamebait, just a waste of bandwidth (and that's a matter of opinion). I just wish there was a Mod post saying WHY the thread was locked, especially because they're locking some and not others.

5. I think it's inevitable that there will come a time when there are just |
|
too many threads for the DU to be useful, like there's a critical mass. I think it's a long way off. But I think it could happen. I think some people would like it to happen too.
I also think that a populary strategy for burying a thread you don't like is to keep posting to it. I know that the longer a thread gets, I ignore it unless I was in it early. So, if you don't like a thread, load it up with post immediately, and you'll discourage other people from participating.

pstokely and Sephirstein are actually Larry King reprising his weird stream-of-consciousness column at DU.
