Is Harriet Miers Shrub's James Stockdale?

Think about it.

Regardless of his accomplishments in life, Admiral Stockdale had no business being nominated for Vice President (by H. Ross Perot back in 1992). In spite of valorous service in the Vietnam war, he will be best remembered for his quote during the 1992 Vice Presidential debate, "Who am I? Why am I here?" He was a decent man and a decorated veteran. But there was no way he could be seen as a serious candidate for VP.

I think the same thing applies to Harriet Miers except she lacks the decency or accomplishments. There is just no way whe can be seen as a serious candidate for the SC.

1. I Knew James Stockdale

I had several breakfast with him as I was assistant communication director of the Perot/Stockdale campaign in Washington State.

I think Stockdale would have made a better SCOTUS than Mrs DoubtMiers hands down. I was sad to hear of his passing in August.

Who know maybe we are just 10 days and a Bush/Cheney indictment away from not having to worry about Miers on the bench.

at least Stockdale overall was a good man with honorable accomplishments. the Chimp doesn't even have that.

considering Chimp's incompetence it's not surprise those who appoint are the same.
