The best solution is AMS and No Electoral College |
|
It's all very simple. If we used the Additional Members System for the House we'd have more choices of who we could elect, one party list vote and one vote for a district representative. And finally abolish the electoral college and let people cast direct votes for president.

1. there is a problem with direct voting |
|
Right now, if the election process in one state is thoroughly corrupt, the damage it can cause is limited to the number of electoral votes the state has.
With direct voting, a thorough corrupt voting process in one state can produce, say, a million extra votes for one candidate, overwhelming wins by the other candidate by smaller margins in other states.
Direct voting could be an extra incentive for corrupt elections.

2. That can happen under the electoral college |
|
It already has, I mean all you have to do is swing enough votes in a big state to win. With direct voting all the votes are one block and you'd have a harder time rigging them.
