The 2 million Dems who didn't vote might not mind.

6. Hey Governor
You just insulted the state you represent -- Cali animosity towards Texas is real, even I know that. Wishing to be like Texas is like wanting hell on earth.

5. This is a bad nightmare
now either the scam covers both parties, or... he really
means it and wants to help.

Please wake me up when the nightmare is over.

7. ARRRRRRRRGGGGGG!
We "lost" our special place as the state with the highest air pollution levels to, you guessed it, Texas. They curse Bush for his actions as Governor as they try to breathe in some parts of Texas.

I don't want that back!

9. Message to California
from a native Texan. If you become like Texas, you will be very, very sorry you did. It will completely ruin your state. Not the mention that you'll have to add about a zillion Baptist churches.

15. I have enough fundy churches in my area already, no thanks.
I know we will be sorry, but we don't seem to have a say in the matter. )-:

There are many posters on DU who live in Texas, for better of worse. Just like the Californians didn't want to be painted with a broad brush after the recall debacle, neither do the outnumbered Dems of Texas want to be branded by virtue of living in the state previously governed by an idiot. Oh wait, we still have an idiot governor. But I digress.

Texas Dems face huge obstacles. Don't make it worse by bashing us. We know our legislature sucks. We know our land, air, and water are systematically being ruined by a priviledged few who don't give a rat's ass if our kids can breathe or swim in a clean ocean. The fight is hard, but it belongs to all of us, just like California does.

Let's now join hands and spread some love. No, just love. And don't stand that close, OK?

I lived in Texas once. Both my children were born there. I have family there. Now I'm in California. I have always been a Democrat and I have always worked and voted for the values that make me a Democrat.

Instead of bashing each other, we need to educate people so that they understand *, PNAC, Rove, and the other nefarious elements that are behind this ruination of the USA. You'd be surprised at how many folks I run into that aren't computer users and for that reason alone, are in the dark about the truth.

Edited to add: I did hear someone on the radio within the last 2 days mention that there is a possibility that Arnold will seek to redristrict California. I haven't seen it in print yet, however.

14. ah, gimme a hug...
and Californians, pick up Shurb and Bushwacked if you haven't already. Molly goes into great detail about how * ran Texas into the ground.

A lot of Californians will be REAL pissed if the supposedly moderate Ahhhnold turns out to be to the right of Atilla the Hun and tries to shove * policies down our throats.

Fool us once.....let me say here and now WE WON'T BE FOOLED AGAIN!

12. No doubt he'll do whatever it takes to make it so.
Has the Muscleheaded serial groper ever even been to Tx? Sounds like major ass kissing to me. What? Does he think he'll win some brownie points from Bush* by saying that? Got news for him. Bush* doesn't give a rat's ass about Tx. Tx. was better off before that dime store cowboy rode into town. Not that you'll find many in this state willing to admit that. California is my home state. I have family living there and I sure hope Gov. Groper doesn't make California like Texas.

16. I think someone wants it to be like Florida, too.
If they can take control of elections like Jeb/Cruella did, then they will deliver Cali's electoral votes to the criminals on a silver platter.

You think Rover is setting this up yet?
