Jan Hall: Former Orange County Teacher. (FL) Is she one of the
white Americans who are ignorant about their own racism?

Jan Hall wrote a letter to congress. Apparently it had some dicey things to say about minority members because the letter became public and she's now taking heat for it. I still don't know what she wrote and I'm wondering if anyone else has more details?

She went on a radio show to tell people that she wrote the letter to congress AND THAT IT WAS NOT MEANT FOR THE PUBLIC! How stupid is that? A teacher who doesn't understand our open public records laws.

Anyway, she says that she's not a racist, she's sorry if she offends people but she stands by the constitution.

What did she write?

2. something about Puerto Rican students and teachers bringing down
standards and how the borders should be closed. I didn't read the letter, but I saw a clip on the news with her defending herself on some radio show

7. Well, that sums up the conventional wisdom of most White Americans
that I know. It's depressing to read, but important to know how they think.
