The Middle East has actually become less free |
|
In 1991, countries such as Yemen and Egypt at least had 'partially free' status.
As of 2004, these nations had a status of 'not free'.
What Agent of the Vast Liberal Conspiracy came up with this?
Actually, it was the megaphone for the Bush Administration, Freedom House, that came up with this. (Courtesy of my Sociology book)
Also as of 2004, Iraq and Afghanistan still have a status of not free.
What happened to the part of the Bush Doctrine where ** promised he was going to spread democracy and freedom all around the world?
