Just starting.

1. These guys are saying that Fitzgerald took the WH losers by surprise
they didn't expect him to be so thorough -- asking for home and business phone records, etc.

They didn't see this investigation getting his far.

Tweety calling Fitz "Elliot Ness"

2. I'm betting that Rove thought he was "too smart" for Fitzgerald
Sadly for Rove, I think that will be his undoing.

3. Thing is, this whole investigation started of with Ashcroft in charge
who happens to be Rove's buddy.

It's no telling what and how many lies he told the FBI in it's infancy.

7. That's an important point.
The Bush people were laughing at this investigation at first. Rove told the first FBI investigators who questioned him that he heard about Plame's CIA employment from a reporter, he couldn't remember who or anything about the reporter. Then he decided maybe it wasn't a reporter, he couldn't remember anything at all. Lied both times.

well, that and take cheap-ass shots at Bill and HRC every single chance he gets. I still can't believe the best defense he could come up with for Rove was "Well Clinton lied all the time". :puke:

39. Fitzgerald as "Elliot Ness"
I've been saying almost from the get-go of this investigation that Fitz is "untouchable." Nice to hear an acknowledgement from Puddy-Cat's nemesis.

6. I still can't figure out why the WH thought they'd get away with this
Even if they believed they had absolute power.

Had they not outed Plame, nobody would have given Wilson or Niger another thought. It would have passed like everything else.

I guess that's the definition of 'hubris'.

Paul O'neill, Richard Clarke, and countless others before.

But this time the CIA was involved, and the CIA was not happy about having Brewster Jennings outed.

politics. Wilson dissed the prez, so they had every right to get back at Wilson, which included outing his wife. Go figure.

Maybe if tweety weren't such a blowhard he could find out the facts instead of making up shit as he blows along.

Resembles Tweety bird: big yellow head, often quite empty. Chirps non-stop, usually right over his guests.
