Just saw this bumper sticker five minutes ago. LOVE IT! |
|
I live in a conservative suburb, in the Midwest.
I was driving and I saw Bush's name on a bumper sticker. I figured...here we go again, another Bush lemming.
The bumper sticker--which was on a Cadillac--said, "Whether you support George Bush or not...he's still an incompetent liar."
Do you love that or WHAT???
I had a smile on my face the rest of the way home!

5. When the Cadillac crowd turns on him, he's screwed. |
|
These in my bigoted stereotyping imagination represent the cream of the wealthy and gullible crop.
I mean, a Caddy costs huge piles of money, and is nothing but a pile of crap. You have to be wealthy and gullible to buy one. You also have to be wealthy and gullible (or at least gullible) to like Bush.

I have 3 bumper stickers on my car "YeeHa is not a foreign policy" "If you are not appalled you are not paying attention" and "Kerry for President" and I drive an audi. (Not by choice, it was given to me.)

17. Yeah, but if somebody gave you a Caddy, you're probably too |
|
smart to attempt to drive it. Same reason you're too smart to be a Puke. You'd probably slap a yellow ribbon on the bumper and sell the Caddy to a sucker, then buy yourself a decent little car. The Audi is a decent vehicle, as far as I know.

The whole "GM's Are Crap" line is nothing but a historical hangover. They ALL use the same engineering concepts, same quality measures, same materials, and same manufacturing methods.
I've had a Buick since 1995. Bought it new. (A rarity for my wife and i to buy new, but my dad was selling Buicks back then. Not now. He died.) We have put almost ZERO into it after consumables and wearables (tires, brakes, struts, and like that.) Nothing. It still runs at the exact same RPM at 60mph as it did the day we bought it, still rides as smooth as silk, gives me all the power i need (230HP), and gets 30mpg. And, it looks nice too!
We've had equal luck with every other american built car (we've not had a Ford, though). And, if one looks at the life span and per mile operating costs, GM has as many models in the upper quartile as any manufacturer at any price!
I don't want to get into a whole thing here, but Caddy's are no more pieces of crap than are Toyotas or BMW's. It has now become strictly a matter of taste and price. Cars are now commodities. The Professor

32. Your experience is very different from the caddy owners I know. |
|
I would consider a Chevy, but not a caddy. They load 'em up with so much stuff that it's always breaking. Of course, I'm pretty minimalist: never bought an automatic transmission, and my first power windows only last year. ;)

I got one recently (my favorite, so far) that says, "BE NICE TO AMERICA...Or we'll bring democracy to your country"
Also:
My kid is an honor student, My president is a moron (or "moran", if you prefer)
Picture of Bush with "Like a rock...only dumber"
I love 'em.

8. Ohmy....those are absolutely wonderful!! |
|
We should make that an action item---everyone on DU get a new anti-Bush bumper sticker.
Make America beautiful...put an anti-Bush sticker on your car!
I love the "Like a rock" one.
Someone stole my "Mainstreet Moms Oppose Bush" sticker. I think it's high time to replace it with something a little "louder".
Thanks for those...made me LOL!

9. I'd love to see one that says something similar... |
|
Whether George Bush is a Christian or not, he's still an incompetent liar!
Whenever I explain to my fundie relatives what a horrible president he is, they always come back with "well, at least he's a Christian." They just don't get it. In their minds, it's apparently okay for W's Christianity to be his main qualification for what is, arguably, the most important job in the world. I seriously doubt they would select, say, a cardiovascular surgeon based on this criterion. Like anyone with two brain cells to rub together, they'd want the most qualified person for the job. But with the presidency, the fundies seem to see W's religion as some blanket immunity from screwing up the country too badly, like if they just keep having faith in him, that won't happen. This faith-based presidency is flushing our great nation down the toilet and these misguided people have their hand on the handle. And once it's gone, it ain't coming back - EVER.

Have we ever had a president who wasn't a Christian? Why is it such a big deal the dumbya is a Christian? Isn't Kerry a Christian? Maybe we need a Muslim president for comparison.

"Christian" to Bushbots, really means "Hard right fundie that will install theocracy". It isn't really about being a Christian.

That's why this is such a great bumper sticker -- it frmaes it beautifully. Yes, he is a (so-called) Christian, or Yes, you do support him", but HE IS STILL AN INCOMPETENT LIAR.
It starts by gaining agreement, then forces them to read the "but" part.

30. I've got several good liberal bumperstickers/quotes: |
|
"He came to take away your sins, not your mind."
"God expects spiritual fruits, not religious nuts."
"Republicans have a plan--You are not part of it."
"Annoy a conservative--think for yourself!"
"I support out troops, but I fear our president."
Etc., etc., etc....
