a small sign of change of opinion |
|
I was teaching a class tonight, and to my modest surprise, all students present, including one who I know to have voted for Bush just last fall, now think that he is a war criminal.

Or maybe you're stimulating their ability to detect horsebleep.

3. My sign came last month |

when my hubby's boss said kind of sheepishly how disgusting it was * commented on Lott's house while people were suffering. Weee hee. He's a big corp exec and said he's seen the other side. When I see that * is losing support from his base I think of this guy.

4. Wow, a war criminal! That's heavy-duty! |
|
Was your surprise really modest, or are you not surprised? It sounds like your students are and have been, for the most part, aware. What did you ask to elicit responses?

5. It was a criminal justice class. |
|
The topic this evening was the causes of criminal behavior. We got to a point where the questions concerned whether the psychology of criminal behavior added extra elements if the justification was in essence political.
The example I first brought up was the 9-11 terrorists.
The class agreed.
And it was the class--the students, unprodded, who jumped ahead of me and suggested that Bush belonged to be considered in the same class of criminals as the 9-11 terrorists.

6. I am really impressed! As I said, your students are |
|
informed, and perhaps for the most part liberal or insightful.
