Republican Administration of a Republican President being investigated by
a Republican prosecutor for outing the wife of a Republican diplomat who was sent on a mission by the CIA as the Republican VP wanted to investigate the Niger document in order to start a war with Iraq.

A Republican AG recused himself and appointed a Republican acting AG for the leak case who then appointed the Republican prosecutor.

This investigation is almost completely absent of any partisanship. There is no out for them here.

1. They would never dream of injecting partisanship into the judicial process!

2. And this is why it will all come tumbling down like a house of cards
Tis is how corrupt the Bushies are. There is nowhere to hide anymore and there will be no excuses. They can't point fingers anywhere.

3. Republican diplomat? Are you talking about Joe Wilson?
I thought Wilson was a Democrat? That was part of Rove's and Novak's strategy of claiming that Wilson was on a partisan attack?

5. Fahrenheit....?
What is the breaking point?

At what temperature will this White House implode..I have been waiting for the last 2 years thinking each time this will be the straw that breaks the neo-con's back but ....

I don't know...the American people seem to swallow a lot of corruption these days as long as its draped in the flag.

9. Hi ed.
I don't know if they're swallowing it or wallowing in it. My Repub brother-in-law told me that chaos is needed to stir up the economy. They actually accept it as part of creating profit opportunities. Where they got caught is that people died in the process, and the few opportunites that were created, were absorbed by a few select cronies. If you believe their premise, then class warfare is what they proposed these last four years, but it was the rich attacking the poor. Now a backlash will begin with riots on the street, and they will act like it was completely unprovoked.

7. Maybe add that he was the Ambassador to Iraq during HW's reign.
But, overall, I like it.

4. except for the fact that FITZ IS NOT A REPUBLICAN OR DEMOCRAT
OR AN INDEPENDENT I agree with you, the investigation is absent of partisanship.

But am tiring of endless DU threads that Fitz it a republican

<snip>

Fitzgerald is careful to be apolitical in his targets and his public life alike. He registered to vote as an Independent in New York, only to discover, when he began receiving fundraising calls, that Independent was a political party. He re-registered with no affiliation, as he did later in Chicago.

He spit fire last year when reporters asked whether the racketeering indictment of Muhammad Hamid Khalil Salah, a fundraiser for the Islamic militant group Hamas, was timed to boost President Bush's reelection campaign. The case was trumpeted first by Attorney General John Ashcroft.

"I am not running for an election. I'm not part of a political party," Fitzgerald said at the time. "The election is irrelevant to this case. The reason we brought this case now is we're ready to proceed."
