1. Or alternatively
I just watched Iraqi insurgents blow up a good friend of mine, I'll lay my head on the musical pillow.

But I suppose it's better to focus on killing civilians.

4. A likelihood
is that they will associate "soothing music" with repressed stress and respond negatively to it once their nightmare is over.

5. When soldiers are put in a war we expect them to be soldiers.
I hate the idea of people being killed for no reason other than a shit for brains president
controlled by religious fanatics and power hungry corporates.
I cannot blame the soldier. I cannot expect them to pick up Thoreau and have a
collective epiphany.
They are soldiers.
I am sorry my country allowed this to happen. That's all I can say.
I can demonstrate. I can write letters. I can't fight the choice of the people.
Diebold could not have elected this bunch without a narrow margin. America gave them a narrow margin.

8. Don't get down on the soldiers
They're just pawns who are doing what they're told by their Commander in Chief. If a musical pillow is relaxing, then that's great.

A lot of U.S. troops don't even have pillows at all. Go to www.anysoldier.com and check out some of the soldier wish-lists.

To make up for the snide tone of your post, you should buy some pillows (non-musical will do) for our military men and women currently going without.

Names and addresses are on AnySoldier, and postage to APOs and FPOs is just regular US domestic postage.

10. if they refuse to carry out orders, they get court marshalled...
if they agree to carry out illegal orders, they get courmarshalled and take the brunt of the blame.

I sympathize for the troops, but their leaders aren't exactly offering incentive to follow orders when they burn the lowest ranks and protect the co's. Seems like it getting to the point where they wouldn't have much to lose by telling their superiors to take a hike.

I know...easy for me to say.
