Fox shows top list of worst family viewing

Last Updated Wed, 19 Oct 2005 18:50:34 EDT
CBC Arts
"Six Fox network programs, led by The War at Home, have turned up on a list of the worst prime-time shows for family viewing.

The U.S.-based Parents Television Council, a lobby group that rates television for content suitable for children, released its list of the 10 worst and best family shows on Wednesday.

Three of Fox's Sunday night offerings, The War at Home, Family Guy and American Dad, were among those the group found least suited for family viewing.

The group's president, L. Brent Bozell, told the Associated Press he was alarmed that the three Fox Sunday night comedies are being marketed as family friendly.

...... Snip"

4. Well
FG and AD weren't meant for family viewing.

As for tWaH, I have never seen it, so I cannot pass judgement.

8. This is part of the plan to keep the Right Wing disgusted enough
to vote for Republicans in hopes of changing the lack of family values in our society.

Little do they know, that Republicans are the ones who are eroding so called values, "family" and otherwise.

Health Care is a family value
Fair wages = family values
Keeping jobs in the US = family vaules
Education = family values
Clean Air/Water = family values

and so on

10. What gets me is the hypocrisy of being so "family values" on thenews
and then putting on shows that push the envelope. Don't the freepers realize it is all about money. That right wing news is just a product - like a really long commercial?

11. I don't care what it is
if Brent Bozell says it's bad for your family, it must be good for your family.
