NEARLY a MILLION WEB ARTICLES on BUSH being the ANTICHRIST

890,000 to be exact. That's a lot of writing about Bush being evil/false-prophet in the context of the bible. Makes me wonder why he has such strong support among "Christians"

Check it out: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&client=safari&rls=en-us&q=bush+antichrist&btnG=Search

I also remember reading a Madsen article a long time ago about the Pope thinking Bush was the Antichrist. Here it is: http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0MKY/is_9_27/ai_108881880

3. Because those 'Christians' are trying to be true to their faith.
And it's inevitable. They do not see * as the antichrist or refuse to. But I'm sure they don't know what a Bible was, even if they saw one.

The sad part is, the reality behind *'s words and *'s ACTIONS makes him incredibly false. And I believe he is the Antichrist and you bet I'm afraid.

4. Seriously, Hypno?
You really think he is the Antichrist? Or are you using that more as a metaphor?

I'm a Christian but not a Bible literalist so this concept is interesting to me.

8. In the interpretations...
The Antichrist is considered a "man of sin" who propheses falsely. One could interpret Bush that way and who falsely claims that "Christ has turned his life around." In fact we know the context of that statement with regard to his drinking and drug abuse is false now.

Bush is a man the professes RELIGION and MORALITY but is FAITHLESS and follows none of the teachings of Christ.

Bush does not believe in peace.
Bush does not believe in helping the poor.
Bush does not believe in loving thy neighbor, the cardinal rule given by Christ ("If you follow no other commandments, follow this: love each other" paraphrasing).

Bush does believe in greed (tax cuts for wealthy, corporate welfare)
Bush does believe in domination
Bush does believe in war and killing
Bush does believe in lies and cheating (campaigns / elections / "catapulting the propaganda")
Bush does believe in stealing (Haliburton, "Culture of Corruption")

And he protects his beliefs by USING RELIGION, PATRIOTISM and FEAR to get what he wants.

It's easy to understand how so many believe he is the Antichrist.

9. Who are the four horseman?
Edited on Sat Oct-22-05 09:19 AM by IChing
Any members of the Cabal fit this?

(1) a man on a white horse, with a bow and a crown, who is a conqueror-- a true "man on horseback"-- this may be the Antichrist. I believe Jupiter symbolizes this horsemen-- in Revelation 13, the Antichrist brings "fire down from heaven". This sounds like Jupiter or Thor with their thunderbolts. Damien Thorne in the "Omen" movies is supposed to be the Antichrist. "Thor" and "Thorne" are certainly very similar words.-----Bush?

(2) a red horse, whose rider has a sword -- war. This must be Mars, the red planet symbolizing war.-----Rumsfield?

(3) a black horse, whose rider is holding a pair of scales in his hand, symbolizing famine and economic depression. I would connect this horseman with Saturn, associated in Greek/Roman/Etruscan mythology with agriculture as well as weights and measures and coins.
------Fema?

(4) A pale horse, whose rider is named Death, and Hades rides with him. This, obviously is Pluto-- Lord of the Underworld, Land of the Dead, in mythology. It is believed by some writers that the fourth horseman Death is associated more with death by disease:
-------- This got to be Cheney

10. Bush is not the Antichrist
Edited on Sat Oct-22-05 09:50 AM by rbajai
he is a forerunner to the Antichrist just as Hitler and Napolean were. He is setting the stage. Bush is very close but if you read Revelation 13 it says in there that the "false prophet," who is separate and distinct from the Antichrist (but works alongside the Antichrist as his spiritual counterpart), will "cause all to receive a mark," yada yada...the famous mark of the beast. That has not happened yet so Bush is not yet the Antichrist.

According to Bible prophecy the events are: 1) Marked increase in earthquakes, famines, disease outbreaks, and natural disasters (Matthew 24); 2) Rapture of the church; (1 Thessalonians 4:17, Revelation 3:10); 3) Rise of the Antichrist and tribulation (Daniel 9:27); 4) Second Coming - Return of Jesus Christ to rule and reign (Revelation 19).

Trust me I have studied all forms of end times prophecy including Nostradamus and have found Bible prohpecy the most detailed. Just FYI.

Not a direct quote but extrapolated from various sources including Hal Lindsey at http://www.hallindseyoracle.com.

11. Illogical conclusion. Don't you hate this kind of plain wrong thinking?
The real conclusion is that 890,000 pages contain the words "bush" and "antichrist" OR pages that are pointed by "bush" or "antichrist".

The pages are not necessarily "about Bush being evil" at all. If you have a blog page where one posting talks about John Kerry being the antichrist and another posting talks about how great Bush's intellect is, that page gets swept up in your tabulation. It is the exact opposite of your criterion.

I really dislike this kind of fuzzy thinking that draws conclusions like the original poster. It is just plain wrong.

12. Followers don't think
I will not throw every religious believer under the chariot, but many zealots of every stripe simply sacrifice their ability to process information and make their own choices. They simply follow doctrine and that excuses them from the messy business of conscious thought. Reinforcing their blind allegiance to their belief reinforces the validity of this belief to the zealot.
This is one reason why many so-called christians still follow Bush - even at the expense of a free democracy, their country. They really have no country. They're basically still lost in the desert.

14. I wish everyone could have heard this Fundie on Malloy last night.
She was wonderful because although she speaks in tongues and belongs to a devoted Bush church in north texas, she thinks critically and can see what he is doing to this country and others. She tried raising the issue with her church friends and they practically crucified her. She admits there are too many sheep listening to the power structure instead of evaluating the Administration's actions and impact on lives and how unChrist-like it is.

I am not a Fundie, but I think there are a few who know the real score with the bastard in the WH. They are just underground for some reason.

16. I'll tell you their dirty little secret...
it's the Cult of Bush. As with any cult, if one dissents, they are chastised, "spoken to," warned, warned again, then finally banished from the cult. Friendships are broken; family members are shunned. The Cult of Bush members continually try to bring the dissenter "back into the fold" using emotional/psychological manipulation. At its worst, if you don't bow down and worship Bush, and especially if you criticize him in any way shape or form, you have lost your salvation and have become prey to the "evil liberals."

I should know. My experience nearly mirrors that of the woman in your story. I live in Dallas but don't attend church at the moment, let alone one that speaks in tongues. But indeed this is Bush country and it is very difficult in this damn state.

Cult of Bush. It is THAT SIMPLE.
